Tämä kangas on melko jäykkää, ei ollenkaan sulavasti laskeutuvaa, joten mallin piti ehdottomasti olla yksinkertainen. Ajattelin alunperin myös toppia, jossa olisi ollut jokin erisävyinen vuori alla, mutta eipä toppeja juuri syksyllä ja talvella tule käytettyä... Pidän itse lopputuloksesta todella paljon, vaikka sainkin jännittää itsetehtyjen vinokaitaleiden onnistumista varsinkin takana "nappihalkion" kohdalla, mutta onneksi lopputulos oli ihan siisti.
Mitäs te pidätte? Nyt minä taidan siirtyä taas lastenvaatteiden miettimisen pariin ja ehkä jotain sisustukseen liittyvääkin projektia on luvassa. Kaunista elokuun loppua!
The summer is about to end so it doesn't feel so akward to sit inside sewing anymore. I expected Burda of August with excitement and it finally arrived yesterday - it looked very inspiring! Before starting this shirt project I browsed my fabric storage and wondered if there is any fabric for me left. In the end I found this black lace I bought a couple of months ago with a huge discount.
The fabric is quite stiff so simplicity was the keyword when choosing the model. Originally I was going to make a tank top with a lining of a different color but well, who wears tank tops in autumn and winter? Not me for sure. I am very happy with this model and even with sewing. I was a bit scared of sewing the self-made bias tape especially in the back of of the neckline but all succeeded well I think. The shirt ended up looking well-made I think.
How do you like it? The next project might be for kids again. I also have some interior projects in mind. Now I wish you all a beautiful end of August!
